Help with local recap projects on your iPhone
You finished catching up with friends and now want one tight replay of the clips you already saved. Mińi_Cháṫ friends video is built for that path: pick videos on your device, mark the moments that matter, tune order and trim handles, preview the timeline, save the project, and export when ready. This page explains how to get unstuck without promising features the app does not include.
What the app does
- CreateStart a recap project and use Add clips to open the iOS media picker.
- Mark & includeAdd moment markers, set in/out times, and choose which segments enter the recap.
- ArrangeReorder segments and trim boundaries; total duration updates from included ranges.
- Save & returnOpen saved projects from the project drawer and continue editing.
- ExportExport the assembled recap locally; progress and errors appear on device.
What the app does not do
To set expectations clearly:
- It does not join, record, or mirror live video calls.
- It does not sync edits between friends or provide a shared online workspace.
- It does not upload your clips to our servers as part of normal editing.
- It does not automatically detect scenes, faces, or emotions in your footage.
Common questions
A clip I picked no longer plays
The app references videos you selected. If the original file was deleted, moved, or is unsupported, you may see a recoverable error. Try choosing the clip again from the picker or replace it with an accessible version.
Export failed or looks empty
Export uses your device’s media capabilities. Unsupported formats or incomplete source files can fail. Confirm the source plays in Photos, trim to a shorter range, or pick a different clip. Your saved project should remain editable after an export error.
How do I delete a recap project?
Open the saved-projects drawer, select the project, and confirm delete. This removes the project’s locally stored edit data. It does not automatically remove underlying videos from your library.
Is my data sent to the developer?
Recap metadata and edits are stored on your device. The app is not designed for account login or cloud sync. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Purchases or subscriptions
Current product documentation describes local editing without defined in-app purchases. If billing features are introduced later, they will appear in the App Store listing and in updated legal pages.
